A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES

Cheers to 20 Years

Swedish distillery Mackmyra has just announced that it launched a 20-year-aged whisky, the first to hit this aging milestone within Sweden. A tribute to making whisky the Swedish way, this whisky is full of sweet fruit flavors and was actually aged in a mine.

If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one of the 238 bottles, make sure you add it as a missing whiskey so we can see your tasting notes ourselves!

A Sunny Whiskey

Not one to be left out of the celebrity spirits craze, the three geniuses behind It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia have teamed up to brand their own unique whiskey, Four Walls. A blend of Irish Whiskey and American Rye Whiskey, this hits both smooth and spicy notes as their ‘commercial’ shows.

The best thing about this whiskey? It’s already available from our friends at Caskers!

“Recently, my go to scotch is Tomatin 18. It’s a fabulous unpeated scotch that spent its life in oloroso sherry casks. They are a relatively small Highland distillery and they make wonderful scotch.

Another easy drinker that I recommend to friends is Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask.

I’m also a big fan of Bruichladdich Octomore – the 9.1 is my favorite. Good for sipping and certainly not for everyone, as they are all cask strength and very heavily peated. But there’s something magical about Octomore. It just works!”
