Maggie May I Have a Bottle
No that’s not another vintage whiskey ad, it really is Rod Stewart holding a bottle of his brand new Wolfie’s Whiskey. Rod describes the bottle as “a rascal of a thing”, but we’d be interested to see how the distillers at Loch Lomond managed to get Rod in the time machine to “take him back to the good ol’ days”.
WORLD SPIRITS COMPETITION
The Waiting is the Hardest Part
All eyes are on San Francisco every June for the results of the world spirits competition. While the official “best in show” results won’t be shared until their mid-month gala, we know which whiskeys won medals and, perhaps surprisingly, the leading medal-getter was “good friend of Rod Stewart” Loch Lomond. We’re starting to feel like we should get our hands on some of that time traveling whiskey they’re making up there..

Monkey Shoulder
Monkey Shoulder is a blended Scotch whiskey that is made from a combination of three different single malts. According to Master of Malt, this blend is sourced from Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie, all from Speyside.
It has a smooth and mellow flavor profile, with notes of vanilla, honey, and spices. Monkey Shoulder is a versatile whiskey that can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail.
