12 Days of Bourbon Cream

Snow and ice calls for a glass of bourbon cream! How do you take yours? You can make your own with heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, spices and bourbon blended together. My top choices for ready to drink bourbon cream are from (1) Middle West Spirits, (2) Black Button Distillery, and (3) Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Bourbon Cream is great on the rocks, but for an elevated experience try it in one of these festive cocktails. For those already feeling less festive, let us add some jolly back in your life with the gift of the 12 days of bourbon cream! Cheers!

Another 12 Days…

While Amanda has been partaking in bourbon cream action, Eric has been focused on a different and arguably more fun 12 days tradition. Sharing bottles with friends for an impromptu tasting extravaganza. The tasters are blind labeled and handed out to the participants who drink a dram each night. It’s great having a couple whiskey drinks each evening but the real fun comes each morning after a night of guessing. We’ll work on broadcasting this tradition next year so that others can join in the fun.

Eric’s favortie came on day 6, The Senator a nice MGP Rye product.

Redbreast 12 Year Old

Abov users apparently were all hoping to find a bottle of Irish Whiskey in their stocking this year, as Redbreast 12 Year Old was the most wishlisted whiskey. A single pot still whiskey aged in a combo of ex-Bourbon Barrels and Oloroso Sherry Butts, this bottle is a delicious balance of spicy, fruity, sherry and toasted notes.
